Directed by Robert Rodriguez of "Spy Kids" fame and starring Adrien Brody, apparently the Predators will be hoping to secure his nose as the most massive trophy ever. At least it will be better than AVP, though that doesn't say much. If it's better than Predator 2 I'll be happy.

First reviews are in and they are generally mixed. Still going to see it but I have to say I'm dissapointed by the cast.

LOL. Did you ever see "The Jacket", there were a lot of close up shots of both his and Kris Kristofferson's nose and mouth through that movie....quite odd.

I really liked that movie, but yeah, I thought it was a bit odd.

I saw it last night. Distinctly "B-movie," unlike the original. However, it was perfectly entertaining. The casting is really great, and I was skeptical of Adrian Brody. As it turns out, he's very good at playing the macho hero type. Watch out for Lawrence Fishburne's performance, though--it's the best in the film.

Main complaints: (1) near zero suspense, and (2) given the first complaint, there isn't nearly enough screen time for the Predators themselves.

I have to second all of this. As I've expected my expectations about the movie haven't been met but that is because I'm a big Predator fan (who's not?).

It was better than AvP (and worlds better than AvP2 *shudder*) but I'm not sure I'll get it when it's out on BluRay.

Was it just me or were the Predators in this movie a lot weaker and less awesome than in every other movie featuring them?

It was hard for me to picture, but he pulled it off well. Good actor.

Actually, Brody is about the only thing about this movie I had faith in, as I think so highly of him.
