RIP Dennis Hopper - Page 2

The man's enlarged my mind. He's a poet warrior in the classic sense. I mean sometimes he'll... uh... well, you'll say "hello" to him, right? And he'll just walk right by you. He won't even notice you. And suddenly he'll grab you, and he'll throw you in a corner, and he'll say, "Do you know that 'if' is the middle word in life? If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can trust yourself when all men doubt you"... I mean I'm... no, I can't... I'm a little man, I'm a little man, he's... he's a great man! I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas... RIP

didn't this guy own (and end up selling cheap/losing) like a what ended up becoming billion dollars worth of modern art?

plus well i loved blue velvet. it was always on HBO in the early 90's where i went from watching it for the isabella rosillini nudity (in my pre teen years), to realizing that it was a great movie when i got older.

I was at a museum yesterday and there was a Warhol portrait of Hopper there. I said to myself, "He's been terminally ill for awhile. He'll be gone soon. " I guess that meant tomorrow.

He was also into photography; associated with the likes of William Eggleston.

One of the greats. Nutty, but absolutely brilliant. RIP O/T - Check out extra James Gandolfini at 4:15 of the True Romance clip.

Hopper was the kind of free-spirited American that is rarely seen these days. At least he lived a full life, R.I.P.
