He was a great actor as a child, but had a troubled life thereafter. May he rest in peace.

No they are not basically the same.

Hemmorrage is bleeding in the brain, often a Sub Arachnoid Hemmorrage is what is called a Hemmorragic Stroke, can be from trauma or aneurysm rupture.
What we normally consider a stroke is an ischemic stroke, where there is a thrombosis in a major or minor artery in the brain (MCA, PCA, Carotid, etc).
So one is bleeding, the other is a blockage of blood flow.

Ischemic strokes often leave victims with paralysis or other deficits, Hemmoragic stroke often kills the victim. Hemmorragic strokes are less that ten percent of all strokes.
