What cologne do you have in rotation or thinking about copping? Post up classic or lesser known fragrances that you love.*

*Disclaimer - no mall brand colognes please

I don't leave the house without a little something on my neck and wrists.

Currently my daily is gendarme and I have a more esoteric scent that smells like a bouquet of flowers (0) that I use when I know I will be around breezecakes.

Hermes Eau D'Orange Verte by Hermes is great

Also, TBF, i'm not sure what you mean by mall brand, but some mall stores / brands have made some great colognes over the years. For example, Abercrombie and Fitch Woods is one of the all time classic colognes; it was discontinued (in like 04 or so) and sells for $200 a bottle on E-Bay now. I loved it back in the day

I have a collection of well known and lesser known fragrances - Creed Millesme Imperial, Polo Blue, the aforementioned Hermes, John Varvatos (original), Acqua di Gio, etc

My 3 go-tos are: Creed - Silver Mountain Water - Spring/Summer (can be a bit sharp in winter) Creed - Himalaya - Fall/Winter (gets cloying in summer, unfortunately) Kenzo - L'eau Par Kenzo - Spring (gets cloying in summer, the only real downside to this one) Haven't tried GIT yet

I wear Cartier eau de toilette (so lighter scent). Not really into having like 10 of them and I like something classic. If I switched I'd either get the Hermes one or grand mechant loup by l'artisan parfumeur.

GIT is very similar to Cool Water at first sniff, but it's mid and basenotes are nicer. I bought a few 2.5oz samples of the following from perfumed court, in order of my preference:
  • Creed Silver Mountain Water
  • Creed Green Irish Tweed
  • Acqua di Parma Colonia
  • Creed Royal English Leather (smells like ass, don't know why the **** I got this but it sounded cool)

I only wear Creed now.

Experiments:
I've recently tried some trendy ones from CdG and CB I hate perfume but I found them to be kind of flat as far as fragrances go. Portland General Store will be next, though I'm expecting the same.

Well it's summer right now and I'm in Florida where it's hot as balls and humid at all times so I have to b a bit more particular about finding a scent that will be comfortable in this environment. Right now I am loving L'Artisan Navegar, will be my next full bottle purchase. I have been oscillating betwen CdG x Monocle 2: Laurel and CdG x Artek: Standard for my nighttime scent since the two scents were released a couple months ago. Some other favorites are L'Artisan Dzongkha (initially hated this, grew on me and is now one of my favorites), Amouage Jubilation XXV, CdG Sequoia, Six Scents Series 1: no. 4...these are not suited for warm or humid weather though.

I have a shitload of samples and I just order a few every month or so to try new stuff out, it's fun.
