sawa's look great. don't know if i'll make it to nyc in june, but i want those. or another pair of german army trainers, anyone got a link?

To find German Army Trainers go on German ebay and use the following search terms:

-bundeswehr turnschuhe
-bundeswehr hallenschuhe
-bundeswehr sportschuhe

Be sure to email the seller (I used bablefish to translate) to make sure they ship outside of Germany.

^^^Getting a response and for them to ship outside Germany seems like a real chore. I have tried a few times with no luck.

I picked these up from NDC.

Why non-Albins? I think the crinkle leather Albins are one of the better offerings in their current line.

These are hot, goddamn. I like the SAWAs, too, but not 100% sold on the black stripe.

From time to time, I do some searching for a plebe alternative to something more expensive. I prefer to play with my shoe fetish on the cheap with multiple pairs as opposed to one really nice shoe once a year. I was looking to hop on the gum sole bandwangon and picked up a pair of the following:

There are a lot of SF-approved sneakers in this thread. There are also a lot of NON-SF-approved sneakers (some of which are truly terrible) in this thread.

If you guys are looking for a proxy, you can ask this guy hsedlmayer@googlemail.com. He recently proxied a pair for me and was really helpful. Mine still havn't arrive yet.. but that's because I didn't take the express shipping.
