TheSoloist x Adidas sneakers available on Hanon and Oki-ni for anyone who is interested. They are definitely basic design-wise but a couple of the pairs look pretty good.

On iPad so can't find out where it is from by myself, but guessing asos?
They're cool, but you might aswell get a pair of nikes for a little more

Nope, this is "Diadora" and at least where I live they're more expensive than Nikes. However, I also like them a bit more. Most Nike Hightops are made of textile or suede, i prefer smooth leather.

^that shot made them look so much better than the first one, and now I do think I like them more than most nikes aswell ^^

Any recs for captoe-style sneakers?  Not converse.

Something like these W+H sidezips:

I found these, look okay.  A little bit too zara-ish (unstructured+slim/cheap-looking) for me though, I've owned Generic Surplus in the past though and the quality isn't laughably

bad so considering em. https://store.genericsurplus.com/argus/argus-black-fw12.html

Edit:

These aren't bad for poverty blazers.  Simple colors, no swoosh which is a plus. Just $35!

I have a pair of those black ones and I've literally never worn them. They're sitting on a bookcase at my parents house right now...

That second pair looks terrible though. Not a good substitute.
