huh, was it TNT? Nomad? Maybe Uncle Otis? Those SA's are all sorts of steezy internet lurker types.

Twice this week I've stopped a guy with a filson bag and boat shoes, like "oh hey nice Filson there, is that the 257? where's you get it?", expecting it to turn to discussions about the internet... instead I just get "oh this, dunno, just bought it at a local store".

This is hilarious but also pretty weird. All kinds of people read this forum..

I think we can all agree we'd rather be hatefully remembered than forgotten. Great job, OP. What store was it?

I live in michigan and whenever I come across someone else rocking dry denim or something obviously "internet influenced", we just kinda give each other a nod. I was out with a girl for like the second time and when a random guy asked me about my jeans and we got to talking about sf and sufu she was weirded out and once I explained it to her, she was even more weirded out. She didn't get a third date LOL

Dry denim is sorta like having a kid or herpes, you wait til you know a person really likea you before you tell them about it.

Which boutique is it? The guys at Uncle Otis know us for sure (duh), and people from Sydneys post on here from time to time, and I talk to Sydney and his guys everytime we happen to meet up in TO or NYC. We talk to the guys from Nomad too.

i don't think raw jeans are just worn by denim nerds anymore.

^+1 dude, I mean you run across people from Styleforum at random maybe once in a blue moon, but the chance to talk to a real live GIRL?? That **** is rare, you have to be on that! Might not find another one for the rest of your life, they're like unicorns.

Speaking of Sydneys, I heard there was a pretty serious fire above the store this weekend. I'm not in Toronto right now, so I'm not sure if the store was part of the fire, but I think they must of at least suffered quite a bit of water damage.

Haven't really had any experiences like these, though I do see this guy with imperials around school sometimes and the SA at a local "boutique" tries to teach me about Nudies a lot.
