I miss my home games though. Any DC/Baltimore members want to get a low stakes thing together?

I'm in NO VA. Happy to play.

^ thats proper play. dust off and play on. its the ability to totally forget bad beats and bounce back that will make you money. all sane scenarios point to both of you shoving there.

There's a huge difference between "i win money off my friends" and "I'm good at poker."

When you get into poker seriously, it's basically all about analytics and critical thinking.

My advice: variance sucks get used to it.

Wife's out of town this weekend...going to fire FTP for some marathon sessions!

Can anyone comment whether the 400-1000NL games have evolved in the last 6 months?
Are you a reg at 400nl? If so, why would you take a 6 month break. If not, wtf are you doing at 400nl?

Because I fucking work for a living!

I haven't been a 'regular' at any stakes since college. I was a big midstakes winner then. When I was getting hands in last year I still make about 1.5BB/100, but games were very tough. I believe I can beat 400 handedly, but there may no longer be any advantage at 1000...

That's pretty awesome, now I'm interested in what you do for a living, considering beating 400nl is about 200$/hr and 500k a year...

Ya, but this comes on the heels of getting beat with quad 7's by a strait flush in Omaha hi - low

I get it though. Its the luck element that makes it interesting and frustrating at the same time.

No shit, that's some pretty serious stakes.

Pretty sure nobody has beat 400nl for that much in years.
