The only stockist in the LA area that I know of is sold out, so I ask: has anyone picked up or tried on the shawl collar black cable knit jacket?

How's the fit? size up? size down? Good looking overall?

Yay or Nay?

thx.

I tried it on earlier in the fall when I stopped by nepenthes ny. It's kind of stretchy and I thought TTS looked best, but maybe see if anyone else tried it on. Id probably pick it up on sale

I already have them in ripcord, but really want that sateen fabric; can anyone comment on it? If I do, I'll be selling the Desert Pant in olive ripcord for half its retail if anyone is interested (size 32).
It's a beautiful jacket, you wont regret the purchase and Gary is nice, easy and pain free to deal with. .

Hey Guys and Gals,

We just want to wish you a Happy Turkey Day. Just so you all know, we are not at the store today and will not be having any midnight madness events. Although I have my misgivings about what this day represents, I like to think it's about Pioneers who rocked their flannel and froze their asses off in the days to come. I would highly recommend "Mayflower" by Nathaniel Philbrick for greater enlightenment.

Additionally, I want to introduce a friend and colleague who is endeavoring on a new quest to guide individuals in lifestyle choices. http://jamesmenswearservices.com

Later!

Gary

Anyone has first hand experience with the down vests? Saw plenty of pictures but I am wondering how they feel like. Read on Inventory that it probably won't fit too well under a tech jacket which makes me think they are really puffy. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Can anyone say how the Explorer jacket fits? The measurements on Context make it seem to run small--42-inch chest on a large?

I wear a size large in the explorer jacket and it's pretty trim.

Big Yank, the 1920's inspiration for the Engineered Garments workshirt, according to Bureau (http://thebureaubelfast.typepad.com/...rk-shirt.html).

Here's 2/3 of the blog post:

The pocket detailing on the Engineered Garments work shirt is very distinctive and in the last year or so it has been used as "inspiration" by so many other companies and designers it is incredible. You can not walk a trade fair in the last while and not be amazed at the number of people that have copied it. It is amazing the influence that this one little booth at the Pitti fair has had across Europe and beyond.

Daiki took the design from a shirt that originated in the 1920s by Big Yank. He introduced it in spring 2000 in Japan and then started to sell it in the U.S. for Fall 2004. Post Overalls actually had this shirt in their collection in the early 1990s but i think it is fair to say that it is the EG one that has had the recent impact.
