What to wear with a leather jacket?

I recently bought a black military style leather jacket from General Issue (has epaulets, front pockets, zip-up not button, fits snugly), and I was wondering what kinds of clothes go well with leather jackets. I was thinking of dark-navy skinny jeans, a light-pink/white checkered scarf, a loose t-shirt underneath and a pair of Chuck's. Do you think something like this would work? What color/style undershirt goes well with leather jackets? Also anything else you could recommend to make it work? I'm very tall and have a thin figure and I particularly like leather jackets because they make me look broader.

Any tips would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Black/brown leather jacket ( tiny stand-up collar and no fabric cuffs ) + slightly deeper u-neck tee in any earthy color ( providing that your upper chest is presentable ) + longish leather necklace + slim black/dark gray jawnz + non-chunky black/brown lace-up boots =

Wear whatever the fuck you want. It's a leather military jacket. Anything military-esque or even just involving jeans will work.

Where would these kind of people be if they didn't have the internet to cover their obvious insecurities? If nobody told them what was acceptable, what would they do?

I don't think it's his fault, though. It is really hard to find good style advice in many parts of the world (and most of the States). I grew up in a St. Louis suburb in Illinois, and I had to learn how to dress from the internet because there was just nothing else to go on.

@OP: black leather is extremely versatile. You can really wear most stuff with it. Make sure the rest of your outfit matches, and that everything fits as slim as the jacket does (this includes your t-shirt, which should fit your torso as a snug interlayer between your skin and the jacket. Throw on some good sneakers (chucks are fine), shoes, or boots; just don't try mixing black leather with brown leather until you really have the basics down.
Also, look at the WAYWT thread. Lots of people there are rocking a black leather jacket, and you can see both what appeals to you and what the feedback from the community is.
