How does skin cancer start out looking like? Lately I have had little bumps not huge but like almost skin scab looking things (not scabs though). And I am in the sun doing activities a lot and I was wondering if it almost seems like it can or be a possibility of skin cancer? I'm not sure. _____________________ yahoo keyword tool ~ overture ~ traffic estimator ~ adwords traffic estimator

A dermatologist will tell you.
But you prefer to get input from the entertainment and culture section?

Yes it's cancer, you're going to die a slow and painful death.

I'm 33 and have have three squamous cell carcinomas. Get checked out by a dermatologist. I had a growth that looked like a small pimple (sans pus) that turned out to be a chapstick-tube-sized piece of nastiness. Get checked out, put on sunscreen.

Can we refrain from any more descriptions of your sex organs please?

Melanoma typically shows up in areas which don't get exposed to the sun.

If it itches or hurts go get it checked. If it is different colours go check it out. If the outsides are jagged go check it out. If it rises off the skin go check it out. If there is blood go check it out. If you are generally unsure go check it out.

Worst they can say is yes it looks bad we are going to take a biopsy (they don't hurt). If they catch it early then you should be ok. So the earlier you go the better. BIG family history and basically if you have any doubt go get it checked.

You guys get me scared...I rarely ever visit doctors but I'm going to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist ASAP.

The other day at the grocery store I saw a well-tanned young lady in the check-out lane right in front of me...right beside her dress strap there was a mole that looked like stage 3 big C, I mean, a classic textbook dermatologist case. Being a good samaritan(occasionally), all I could say was something like, " I don't mean to bother you but there's something on your back you might wanna check out..." Hope she did.
