of all the ones you've visited, which one you can say has changed your outlook on life for the better? I'm making a list of places to visit.

Ha was about to post Gay Street but I got beat to it. I always like walking by after a show at Sonar or Sidebar. People-watching is incredible.

I don't know about this. I have been to red light districts in Amsterdam and Bangkok and I am not sure that the take away is any improved outlook on life. Other than the fact that I thank god I have the option not to go back. They generally are quite sad.

No, it's not. It's on Baltimore Street. Gay happens to cross Baltimore at one end of the Block, but the Block itself is really Baltimore Street.

Amsterdam in 2000 was fantastic, though I hear it's changed since then.

The red light district in Athens is pretty good -- surprisingly safe too. I can't say much about Montreal as the most red light district-y place I've been are probably the strip clubs on St. Catherine.
