What is a Delave Effect in regards to jeans?

Just bought a pair of denims online and it states: "delave effect." What exactly does that mean?

délavé..it's french for washed/faded.

I'd love to see a german brand advertise a "washed effect." Anyone knows the german word for shower/showering will appreciate this.

In the northern hemisphere, jeans will fade counterclockwise, whereas in the southern hemisphere, they'll fade clockwise.

if you cross the equator enough times while weaving the denim, you can get a combination of left and right hand twill, known as broken twill.

haha thanks. yay for gaining some acceptance.

although not that long ago i was still defensively quoting pictures of peoples dick outlines in WAYWT.

i've come a long way.
