Just wondering what others think of wearing a Driver's Cap such as this:

Thumbs up or thumbs down (and why)?

I weat them for casual. It gives me something other than a baseball hat to cover my head in the sun.

I like them and I wear them. I'm not a baseball cap guy and more formal caps feel awkward to me. I get a lot of compliments when I wear them. Ladies aren't used to seeing guys wear anything above a baseball cap these days, so it stands out but isn't too flashy.

Absolutly. I love fedoras, but in situations where you're wearing a hat (for me most, for reasons I won't go into here), they're a great way to have a respectable 'dressy' hat (though classically, they're pretty casual, but then again, so were sportcoats) without drawing too much attention to yourself.

I actually prefer the "8 piece cap" sported by the AC/DC guy (name escapes me.) I think it's a better looking hat, conforms better, can be mashed around in personalized ways better.

The flat cap usually looks too stiff and I wouldn't wear one.

Newsboy. And flat caps come in a wide variety, they're not all stiff or stiff looking. I always found newsboys to be a little silly looking, flopping off to the side of your head, but to each their own. I'm a slim guy, I find that what works for my proportions would look silly on a guy with a "larger frame", and the extra bulk of the newsboy would balance those proportions well.

Ok, as long as you're not driving. People who wear hats while driving = tools.

This is obviously exempt for people in convertibles, but much of the time they are tools for other reasons.
