I have homemade ice cream a lot during the summer, but I don't make it myself. Seems easy to make though. Good stuff.

When I was a kid visiting relatives on their farm, I had to take a turn cranking the ice cream machine if I wanted any ice cream. I wasn't that big a fan of the ice cream in general (plain vanilla), but my mom made me crank it anyway to be polite.

I just remember lots of salt and ice were used in a big wooden barrel and I'd stand there and turn the crank for a while. No idea what went into the ice cream.

I have one in my office. Haven't made ice cream with it, but it makes incredible sorbet. It's a very cool piece of technology.

we have a cuisenart and we make ice cream about 10 times a summer. we pick fruit - berries, apple, peaches, at different times of the summer, and then we make ice cream. tastes good, great for the kids.

Can't remember the brand we have. Standard thing, freeze insert, stick in in the machine which spins and mixes it. Mrs. Piob has some great recipes and there's nothing like fresh ice cream. Only problem is the sugar.

I've got a cuisinart. I just made some lemon nonfat fro-yo earlier. Dannon nonfat yogurt blows, even when its strained.

I use liquid nitrogen from work, smooth and creamy ice cream in under a minute... so cold it even freezes ice cream high in alcohol content.

The Cuisinart works well.
