Is there a way to stop calls from "surveyers"?

I keep getting called by this one organization claiming to be doing phone surveys, which exempts them from following the DNC list. Even though I tell them to fuck off every time, they keep calling. Is there no way to put a stop to this?

Don't answer calls from people you don't know. If it's important enough, they'll leave a voice mail. Every time you answer, they just make a check mark on their list and confirm that there's a human answering.

If it's your home phone, get a Panisonic or any phone that announces the incoming call. If it is your cell, see "intent's" above post!

I used to work at one of these phone survey places (oh, the stories I have!) It's best to tell them not to call you anymore-- the wost thing you could do is just hang up.

Block the number...or do they change it up?

Suck as much time from them as you possibly can. Even if you just ask them to hold on and then ignore the phone. These people are scum and the only way to fight them is to make it too expensive for them to continue. Fight the power.

I was hoping this was possible -- do I just call my provider or what?

Well I use a Google Voice number and I know for a fact that you can block any number using that.

Otherwise, is it a landline or a cell? If it is a cell I save the caller as "Do not answer", which is still annoying but less so than picking up. In either case you should call your provider and see if there is something they can do.

Me too. Unless we were explicitly told "do not call again", we were supposed to mark the number for a callback.
