Those of you who have hardwood floors, what do you use under rugs to protect the floors and keep them in place? I've heard stories about people who have used rubber mats discovering that the mats have damaged the wood. Some of the suggestions I've seen have been vinyl mats and felt pads (which seem like they wouldn't do much to prevent slipping). I'm just curious as to what you guys use.
Which B&M stores carry the Bona's? Never heard of them before.
BedBath&Beyond. You can purchase these products at many stores that install and refinish floors as well. Amazon, though not B&M, presumably also sells this online.
I think what I find works best is mopping without completely soaking the floors and then going over it with a completely dry towel to soak up any water thats still there. I tried the swiffer with the spray and it leave alot of resedue behind. It's good for a quick wipedown but after a month of this you got a ton of cleaner thats dried to your floor.
I should have said this is only a method to use on newly resurfaced hardwood floors that have been covered with urethane. This would damage older wood floors sorry. You also don't want to use wood products on urethane. So no murphys oil soap.
