Just curious if there are alot of people driving older cars out there. I drive a '98 camry, but I don't see alot of other older cars around town.

'91 Audi 100. Singing on the last verse though, going to be replaced ASAP. Just need to find a suitable car..

2001 Civic.

Only 77k on it and it runs fine.

I have a 08 Lexus IS350 which I plan to keep until it dies, it only has 25k miles from the past 3 years of ownership. I am actually looking for a second car (Porsche Cayman S or 911 Carrera S), but will probably wait until the new generation of the 911 hits the market in 2011.

Great cars. Bullet Proof. I owned an '89 for a couple of years. Their electrical system is a hassle, but they'll go forever if you treat them right.

I've never owned a car built after 1997. I like older cars, they are easier to work on and frankly, I find driving new cars a little irritating at times, with warning bells going off every five minutes for various reasons. (Can I sound anymore Amish?) A n ew car would be great and nice, but I just don't see it as a smart expenditure at my current income level ($55-60k, depending on side jobs). I'd rather invest in my house at this point.

Anyway, I currently have two Jeep Wranglers, a 1995 & a 1997. Paid cash for both.

'96 Civic with 240K on it. Next car assuming standard post-college level job will be 98-2004 import, maybe an old G35 or V6 Accord coupe?

'99 C280 with 80k.

Got this after my accident. Was driving a Maximas for 6-7 years, I miss the engine but Matrix looks cute.

Even though the sample size is small and not random, this trend surprises me; I would have thought more stylish men would be driving more modern cars. Are the ones who drive older cars in general just do not care about cars much (like think it is just a tool to get from point A to point B)?

Forum tends to be young & broke.

Well in the City most are driving new cars, Move out to small town America and most are driving older cars. Today, in central America, most are driving a 20 year old Chevy, Ford or Dodge. If you were to drive through my small town, you'd swear it was 1989 by the cars and how people dress. Mullets are still one of the most requested haircuts here. I hope you can feel my pain.
