After seeing a bunch of people knock shorts, I think we need this thread. I wear shorts pretty much when the weather hits 60 degrees in the Spring all the way through the fall. They are versatile, comfortable, can be dressed up or down, etc. This thread is dedicated to posting both shorts themselves and various looks / outfits that work well with shorts.

Let me do the honor.

Shorts in white are pretty classic for the spring / summer

Wear a tan belt and shoes like these

Add any top you want with white in it

Simple, polished, etc.

No links but H&M seems to have some decent options from $15-$25 if you can't afford to drop a ton of cash.

When J. Crew has sales, shorts often go for $29 - $39.

I haven't been to Uniqlo yet this season but I am guessing they are good for shorts as well.

If I could propose one "styleforum rule" for shorts, it is that shey should fall at or slightly above the knee at the longest

I've got a pair of the W+H Shorts from this season. Slim, simple and they look good cuffed. Solid construction too. I'm not normally into shorts but I like these.

Should we just say "**** you" every time he/she posts?

I just had a couple of my slim chinos from last summer tailored into shorts. I am far more tolerant of a lower rise on shorts than something I might want to tuck a shirt into.
