The pictorial is nice indeed. Although you could have saved some time by just posting: unscrew the thingy, cut da belt with dem scissors, punch a hole with a tool that nobody has or really woud want to own, rescrew the thingy... voilà !

Good thread. I didn't look closely enough at one of the belts I bought in Florence and ended up forking over $25 at a shop on 11th where the guy took about 5 minutes and when I got it back in my hands I saw I could've done it even quicker myself if I'd inspected it beforehand.
Called my father up and he altered the two I got for him by hand himself!
