Ive been looking at C&J Conistons for a while after a dissapointing encounter with some Alden Indys. This picture makes them look fantastic: http://www.crockettandjones.se/skor/...niston-tan.jpg This one not so much: http://www.pediwear.co.uk/crockett/products/247.php Anyone own these and can comment on which one is more accurate? The second one just has an unappealing color to me, and the leather on the sides looks too grainy for my tastes.

This is your conciense trying to save you from a bad deal, and you are wise to listen to it. yes the deal look good but there is a reason those boots are so cheap and that shoudl be clue enough for you to run away and don't look back.

Those boots are awesome but I've had gussets like that f*ck up my hems something severe, so I'd never buy them.

Look up the balmoral boot porn thread... there are some great dress boots w/ speed-lacers. They are not the issue... it's the shape and detail on the boots... "forking Timberlands" sum's it up.

somewhere deep in the dungeons of brook brothers corporate, a shoe designer was waterboarded for producing such a monstrosity.

Here's why I hate it: I hate that seam parallel the sole that runs across the ankle. It's like a blucher with a bastardized balmoral seam (balmoral in the english sense, not american). Totally wrong. Plus the toe is bulbous.

Seams, soles, biases, eyes, hooks... Whatever. They're FN SUEDE!!!!!!!!!!!
