It has been a long time since we've had a contest (2008). With National Seersucker Day coming upon us on 17 June, let's have one in honor of this glorious fabric. The criterion is simply best use of seersucker. This can mean head-to-toe seersucker or just a single piece. The first place prize is $75 credit from Kent Wang and one bow tie from The Cordial Churchman. Second place prize is $25 credit from Kent Wang and also one bow tie from The Cordial Churchman. Post your outfits in this thread. Entries will be accepted until the end of the day (Central US Time) of National Seersucker Day (17 June). AlanC, who is expert in matters tradly and previous contest winner, will act as an impartial judge and select a number of finalists from these submissions. Then a poll will be opened to all forum members to choose the winner from said finalists. Contestants may submit multiple outfits, but the judge will select only one of those outfits for the finalist poll. New photos only; one can't simply dig up an old photo. Extra points if taken in a tradly setting, such as on a yacht, at a clam bake, holding a lobster, etc. Be creative. Perhaps one of Kent Wang's seersucker pocket squares will be exactly what you need to complete your outfit for the contest. Or The Cordial Churchman's seersucker bow ties:

Thank you Kent for the honor of allowing me to judge the contest. I look forward to being awash in seersucker. Use your imaginations!

Ellie LaVeer of The Cordial Churchman has kindly donated two bow ties to the prize pool and I've upped the prize pool by $50 in response as well. (See first post). Check out her site; she makes custom bowties by hand, right here in the US.
