We have had already one bloody war following the assasination of an Austro-hungarian prince, we do not need a new sartorial version to happen on this promising thread.

I put my UN blue helmet and I pray for peace on earth on that one...

Fritzl and Sterling Gillette were the contact members for this operation

At first it started by them clearing out the stock of a shoe maker who was ready to retire. His stock were either bespoke orders unpaid for or unclaimed...or shoes made on the makers standard lasts.

Euro sizing was used and good pictures were made available

I don't think they take orders...instead one mentions their size and design plus color leather shoe they desire...and the members try to see if they have a pair which fits the description. Payment is likely via PayPal. The members have the shoes and ship them to you.

I don't hink they make any special order shoes as the clear out the stock of shoes already made. If they do make new shoes...then this is a nice progression of this operation.

Sadly, I have yet to find a shoe that I desire from them...but I'm optimistic something special will fall into my hands soon

They're really swell.

I haven't tried them on yet, so my fingers are still crossed on the fit.

What is the incremental enjoyment of receiving a new pair of shoes when you already own 100 pairs? Is there even any enjoyment?

Not wearing them will prolong this anticipatory *fingers crossed* feeling.

Regards.

I'm having a hard time getting behind these shoes. I'm sure the failing is entirely mine, and I have no real frame of reference for eastern European footwear, but to me they look like a county shoe maker's provincial interpretation of urban styles. They look very rural and boxy. Are these actually very good examples of some kind of shoe that I'm just not familiar with? Like I said, the failing is mine I'm sure, and I don't mean to sound insulting.

Do you apply this same questioning to other pleasant experiences?
