If he made it? Of course it would. Easily Top 5.

I am just personally shocked he did this in the WCF and couldn't do jack shit in the Dunk Contest.

Weird.

what if that was the spurs or the 90's era knicks? they'd bridge him and send him to the ER for even trying it.

But it's not....so they didn't.

Not sure what your point is.

Exactly. But he didn't make it, so it wouldn't be on there.

if it's the best dunk ever, he also gets the best "blocked shot to be called a foul" too.

I'd see him every once in a while at the IM gyms at MSU. him and few of the other guys would put on a show.

This was in the preseason, but factoring in the crossover, where he took off from, and that his nuts ended up in Ben Wallace's mouth, I think this dunk by Kobe deserves to be mentioned.

i was just amazed by the whole dunk attempt. if it did happen then it would of been the ultimate Fuck You to the suns in a blow out... although it still is even as a missed dunk.

i'm just saying a veteran defensive team would of been trying to defend it and put him in a position (intentionally or not intentionally) to put him on the ground. it was just so risky on his personal level.

Ah, I see. You can tell that when Brown decided to actually do it NO ONE was in the lane. (great suns d, btw ).

Thank you for calling me a youngster. I feel good about that.

I guess I'm sort of a youngster, but I'm assuming you're referring to John Starks's dunk on Horace Grant? The one where he didn't really dunk on anyone, but had an open lane because of an illegal pick on BJ Armstrong and the weakside defender (Horace Grant) showing up late? I think we're talking about the same dunk.

Should also note -- just because you can see Jordan in the background doesn't mean Starks dunked on him.

If you really want to bring a Bulls/Knicks dunk into this discussion, let's talk about Jordan's baseline dunk on Ewing.

We can't be having discussions about dunks over people without referencing the Rain Man. Especially #5. And #1.

greatest sports photo I've ever seen. If I were him, I'd blow that up, frame it, and hang it in my living room.

Best missed dunk I ever saw was Vince Carter in college. Ed Cota was on a fast break and threw the ball off the glass to a trailing VC. VC jumped from what seemed like the top of the key and tomahawked the thing off the back of the rim. Would have been spectacular.
