Ever been caught in a lie so grievous you can't 'fess up to the truth, and yet so obvious you can't really lie?

Enter "It wasn't me".... You'd all be surprised how often "It wasn't me" or "I didn't do it" will work if you say it enough when caught lying or cheating. It's seems to be human nature to trust someone you care about... and that bothers me, because I seem to be getting away with some shit but in the back of my head it's solidifying my complete mistrust of people in general.

thread closed out of spite. Have I not just finished an explanation about swearing in thread titles in trans mod? Did I not just idly threaten time outs for people who still do it? Did I not just spend a chunk of my morning editing them in DT? Did I not follow that with a note in DT about it? Locked out of managerial annoyance.
