Things to do in Chicago

Anything.

I know I want to try some deep dish pizza (recommendations?) and hot dog (recommendations?)

Not too huge on the whole clothing aspect because I can't imagine there's that much stuff I want to buy (but if there's something that I can't get from Hong Kong/San Francisco/online reasonably I'm open to it)

I'm a huge basketball fan so if there are any cool Bulls/Michael Jordan related things in the area it'd be cool to.

Currently I'm planning on

Eating Deep Dish Pizza
Getting hot dogs
Going to the United Center

I'm sure there is a lot more stuff to do.

Skip the deep dish pizza.
Go to Millenium Park.
FLW tour or any other architecture tour
Hancock Tower Observatory
Lincoln Park Zoo

Tons of touristy stuff. Which a lot of people poo-poo, but I think doing touristy stuff on your very first trip to a city is a good way to get a feel for the city.
