Not for me. when it comes down to the technological aspects of watchmaking I have no doubt japanese can perform but its like cars, Id rather drive a german mercedes anyday than a japanese car. we can start breaking down performance to price ratio's but who cares.
what makes materialistic things special is the attachment you have with them. so good for you if you like these.

Yet, as I see it, US citizens have more distance to these matters so delicate to us Europeans. So if you should opt for this watch, the original would be the handwinding version with a steel bottom. You should also look for the model that does not feature the quite sizable logo on the dial. Imho it is much more elegant.
The other model is not known to me.
