I saw this earlier. Crazy. I didn't even know he was sick.

RIP

What a shame.

One of my favourite vocalists.

I saw Heaven and Hell in Brisbane when they toured Australia.

Damn.

I can show you the way
And look I'm right beside you
I'm the night
I'm the dark and the light
With eyes that see inside you"

He rocked for a long, long time. Now it's time for him to pass the torch.

??? Rob Halford is still alive. (and FABULOUS!) Interesting story: I met the tour stylist for Dio once. She told me that he had, bar none the largest hands in comparison to his body that she's ever seen. She always had to dress him in shirts with sleeves that have button or wizard cuffs so that he could fit his hands through the sleeves.

I was sure he'd kick that cancer's ass. He had the greatest voice in rock. R.I.P.

Sad. First Black Sabbath album I ever heard was Mob Rules back when I was in junior high. I think his days with Sabbath are highly underrated. The music had a very different character with Dio in the band. In fact, some of my favorite Sabbath songs are Dio era. Didn't realize he was from New Hampshire.

I thought this was "Dido Dead" in which case I still wouldn't care.
