Maybe with sport shirts, cotton/linen blend trousers or nicer chinos?

I like 'em. Actually, I think I bid unsuccessfully on some in my size a couple of weeks ago. I assume that there's a bit of foreshortening going on in the angle of the photo and that they aren't quite as squat and stubby looking in real life.

Since you asked for opinions, I find them unattractive. However, deversity is the spice of style, go for them.

Yeah Stu. I like the look. But the soles and heels look a little too thick to me. Are they elevator?

Nice, and unusual enough to be interesting, without being so unusual as to be a distraction. If the soles were a bit thinner, I'd be all over them like a fat kid on a mars bar.

I think that is kind of the style for a summer buck-style shoe, if you look at some of the C&Js and other models offered this summer by Ben Silver. It seems a nice shoe to have around, not a rotation regular, but certainly a good summer shoe to pull out from time to time.
