These are really cool; thanks for posting.

I would love to see something like this with more modern artists.

Wow, my era!

I didn't know that Grace Slick had been raised in Palo Alto.

The picture mentioned that the photoghapher had bee working on a concert about Bill Graham.

I met Graham and my HS buddy, Mike Klenfner ( search for Klenfner here on SF ), was Graham's right hand man.

I own this issue, its great, and I'm not a Zappa fan of any sort.

He talks a lot about rock and roll, and in a vernacular very different than LIFE magazine.

I feel like I heard an interview with Jorma from JA where he said he knew he'd made it and rock and roll had relevance when he saw a mother reading this issue in the waiting room of his father's dentist office in Oakland.

Very cool. Apparently, Joe Jackson has always looked like a bastard.

There are a few nice interiors there.

My mom was friends with Johnny Cash's mother. Johnny cash purchased a small home across from his just for her to live in. The home use to belong to a local child molester. Johnny's mom gave my mom a Johnny Cash mug, which I now own.

Here is a picture of it.
