When everything is in Japanese? Hot for these sneakers but the link takes me to a place with no english and I'm lost. I can get it "into a cart" but cant figure out how to do anything else.

Lol they cost as much as a pair of DBSS black pony hair / leopard print sneaks. I think a little more actually.

Have to agree that those shoes are horrible. However, just go to the page using Google Chrome and it will ask you if you would like to translate it to English. Problem solved.

I placed my first order through Rakuten International yesterday morning. First, I received an automatically generated confirmation email in all Japanese. This morning, I got an email in broken English from the actual merchant suggesting (I think) that they were waiting for stock to come in from the manufacturer, and would contact me to complete the order when they received my item and before they ship it. I'm wondering if they're really out of stock, in which case I sort of feel like canceling the order, or if they're drop-shipping direct from the manufacturer (Danner Japan) to me. I know for example that in the States, many Red Wing dealers drop-ship straight from the factory in MN.

Just reiterating, that shoe is $500

Babel translator must become your friend, or you can't play in the big leagues. Even then, it's a leap of faith that requires strong kung-fu.

still all those fancy translators can't translate what is written on images on the site and you might miss important information

I got the shoes I ordered from ShoeMartWorld via Rakuten 7 days after I placed the order. Impressive!

You DO know that there is an Etro store on Madison Ave, right? They'd be cheaper and you could get them more easily, and return them if something goes wrong. Why are you using a Japanese site to buy Italian shoes when your ID says you are in NYC? Hell, they'd probably be cheaper to order from the Milano Etro flagship than to buy and ship from Japan. By the time you pay for a proxy, do the exchange rate with the HIGH Yen now, get them to ship, and possibly incur a duty-fee... you're going to be looking at $600 plus for these shoes. The whole thing doesn't make any sense....
