Looking for ways to make my office look cool. I am a financial advisor in my 20s, my main hobby is the guitar. What kind of things should I put on the wall or in the office to make it look good? I was thinking of putting a plasma on the wall, and maybe also hooking it up to my computer to show stuff to clients. Anyone have any suggestions? Most of my clients are 50+, so it has to be on the conservative, professional side. THANKS!!!

Would definitely need to see pictures of your support staff to know what we are working with.

Unless there's an office rule against it, the first thing I'd suggest are blinds for your inside window.

Serious answer: Do not put stupid flair around your office. Get a few plants, clean that desk up, get a ******* book shelf and fill it up with work related ****. Randomly place a few personal artifacts in your office but not stupid ****. Your office is for work, but you want a bit of personality in there. Take your time and find piece of stuff that work for you.

Btw I have a Matisse from the National Gallery of Art in my office. Holla.

Inside windows are ******* horseshit, mang. I feel for ya. Fuckin' bitches be spyin' on you and ****. All fuckin' day. Really forces you to keep up the illusion of constantly doing work, which, in and of itself, is more work than actual work would be.

Take the warning tag off the mini-blind pull cord.

Keep it clean.

Keep it simple.

One or two pictures of girlfriend/wife/boyfriend is sufficient.

Remember you are trying to get folks in their 50's to give you their money to invest.

Get two monitors - one on a swivel, so the client can be presented information.

One or two pieces of artwork. Nothing special, nothing opinionated.

Some plants.

Some lame books that look professional. You might not read them, the client might know you don't read them, but no one really cares. They look good.

I'm in my early 20's and have a financial adviser. I still wouldn't want them to have electric guitars hanging on the wall because they love music that much.

I agree about the second swivel monitor in order to show the client what is going on. Also cover the damn inside window, that's obnoxious. Never mind having to pretend you are working, as a client I don't want the other idiots in your office staring at my back
