Randolph Engineering Sunglasses Preferences - Page 5

I purchased a set of AO aviators for cheap a while back. I got 52mm / Gold / Gray Polarized / Skull Temples because I wanted to go with the Don Draper look. Unfortunately, when I put them on, I feel like my temples are being clamped because the frame is too small. Does the metal part of the frames (before the plastic bayonets) touch / press against your skin?

 

When I put them on, it feels like the temple frames are so stretched that the back skull temple doesn't even wrap around my head or ear anymore. Think of of it like the ends of a "V"

 

I'm reading that a lot of you guys are going with the 52mm and works well with you guys, but I don't think I have that big of a head as I'm only 5"7 and 155lbs.

 

I just recently purchased the 55mm from RE so I'll see how that goes when it comes in.

How did those 55mm fit? Only thing holding me back from ordering is the sizing. I'm about the same height/weight as you with a 140mm temple measurement and according to the RE size chart, I should order a 57mm which doesn't exist for the aviators.

anyone know where i can get replacement lenses?
RE stopped selling them so you have to send the glasses back to their factory to get them replaced. (me being in Australia will be expensive)
