Spinoff of the "You'll thank me when you're older" thread
What are some things no one ever told you or really made you do that you learned the hard way or wish you told?
1. sunscreen. All day, every summer unprotected skin and sun burns. I see major, rapid aging or skin cancer in my future.
2. Orthodontics. I had a retainer, never wore it. My teeth arent jacked, but not perfect. Shoulda just done it.
3. Education. Parents never went to college and didnt know what was needed, so I glossed over the D in algebra and was instead praised for my B in gym class. I was never pushed to study or join clubs. I cant fault them for not knowing how the game was played, but I often think what might have been if so.
4. Investing. money was never talked about at home. Im pretty good at saving just cause Im that type of person, but its purely dumb luck Im not 50k in debt since I was never trained.
5. Sex. Pretty sure the only reason i was sent to catholic schools was so they could teach my about sex and not my parents.
