When I received my ties I was surprised at how light and delicate they seemed, but after wearing them (especially in hot weather) I discovered they are fantastic. Here is one of the slubby repp ties, but I think my favorite of the batch is the navy shantung.

The ties are cut really nicely with just the right amount of width at the knot point. Makes a great FIH imo. I try not to twist the long blade as it wraps and then give a quick pinch at the bottom of the knot to get that funnel shape. The shantung is really fantastic. Light as a feather, but still some "loft". I want a twill and a print next. Great job again, Ed.

they may look better in the pics than in real life but I just pull the back blade until the knot gets up to my neck and then I adjust the knot and pull the front and back blades.

Is the last photo the Navy Shaunting tie? Looks great! Did anyone buy the Navy Grosgrain? If so, got any pics?

Old shirtmaker. Not to hijack Ed's thread, but I actually just received my first shirt from the new maker. I will try to take pics and make a new thread about the experience shortly.

The last tie is the navy grosgrain. The second one is the navy shantung. Both are great and worth purchasing.
