I'm not positive on this, but I don't think any of the standard solid Lacoste polo shirts are made in France anymore. I believe they may all be "designed in France, made in Peru". The fit seems to be the same, although I can tell you that my marginally older "made in France" navy polo shirt has weathered the laundry and the sun much better than its Peruvian closet-mates. I'd put Lacoste at a level of quality slightly above RL, but I think RL has a better color palate, IMHO. Note that some of the striped shirts, and women's shirts are still being made in France.
