Straight/Slim jeans piling up below the knee

I recently bought a pair of Levi's 505 dark blue straight jeans http://www.oipolloi.com/store/Levis-...digo-3291.html . They're supposed to be straight, but on me they look slim. They're also tapered.

Whenever I wear them with my black dress shoes, not only does the look seem a little weird, but below the knee, they lose their straightness and begin to bunch up (especially around the ankle). Does anyone have any solutions to get rid of this problem?

I was thinking of getting them shortened mainly at the front and a little off the back (as this seems to get rid of some of the bulk around the ankle). Although I wouldn't be able to wear them with the normal-sized-sole shoes I have at the moment, and would have to buy thin-soled dress/loafer/casual shoes. However, this isn't that great of an issue.

Unfortunately I don't have a camera. But you can google 'Jeans bunching up' and you'll find other people with the same problem who may have described it better than I have or even taken photos.

It's called stacking, people like the look, if you don't want it, hem your jeans.

Thanks for explaining what it's called. There is far too much stacking in these jeans.

I love these threads. I can never tell if the OP is trolling or serious. It's probably the former, but it's so much more hilarious if they're serious.

get shorter length jeans? unless you're buying 30 length and it's still stacking... if that's the case, i'll suggest milk!

Is it possible to have a tailor resew the jeans so they aren't slightly tapered towards the bottom? If it is possible to have them straight, then that would remove some of the stacking if they were to be shortened.

I don't think that's possible, since that would require extra fabric.
