good smoothie recipe needed

When I worked at the mall I used to get Frulati all the time, it seemed easy enough to make a good smoothie

frozen fruit + Banana+ yogurt + apple juice+ ice = good smoothie

but over an over again I've used this approach varying the ratios of items and never came out with anything quite as good as the smoothie's i've had made for me.

So 'recipe' is kind of a stretch sure, but does anyone have any tips for making a good fruit smoothie.

I typically follow a recipe similar to the one that you posted above, except I use OJ instead of apple juice (adds more of a tang to the smoothie), skip the ice (waters down the flavor too much), and add a touch of sugar.

Exactly.

I use frozen fruit, banana, greek yogurt, OJ, some honey, and a half a scoop of vanilla whey protein.

8oz of that is about 6 grams protein and 90g of sugar. smoothies are teh hidden candy.

1tbspn honey, 1/4 cup rasberries, 1 cup cold unsweetened green tea and 1 scoop of whey/cassein blend

I like to add a pinch of salt. I generally do 1 banana, 2 tbsp honey, about 1/2 cup each of yogurt and OJ/milk, then my "other, which could be anything from strawberries, to mixed blueberries+blackberries, to peanut butter and nutella.

Skip the ice, it will begin to melt quickly and water it down- I think this is probably the biggest issue you have. The frozen fruit is enough to compensate. I use various frozen fruits (mainly strawberries), refrigerated banana along with whatever fresh fruit I feel like, naked juice, a little milk, a little yogurt, sometimes acai berry juice.

use a very ripe banana for sweetness. Frozen fruit, no ice. Frozen mango usually works well too.

I've also tried adding super soft tofu to get more protein, it was surprisingly not terrible

For a very refreshing smoothie: - half cup of ice, half cup of lemon simple suryp (water+sugar+lemon zest), half cup of yogurt, bunch of mint or basil

I can't take full credit for it, it's a Giada recipe.
I use the lemon simple syrup for lots of things, so generally just make a big batch and refrigerate, it keeps quite well.

i'd replace the lemon w/ lime and crush some fresh mint, but sounds good.
