Need to do some hiring. Where should I post the job listing???

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Nothing else seemed more appropriate.

Anyway, dad runs a gym and needs a new manager. It's a local gig, fairly low-scale, nothing executive.

I was thinking of posting on Craigslist and Kijiji. Is there something more appropriate than these two?

Walk in to rival gyms, ask to see the manager, hand him a job description with comp highlighted.

Online sites will bring a whole bunch on quantity, not much quality. People will flood your email with canned resumes and cover letters. You can always just put up a sign in the gym and see if any members will apply. CHances are, they'll be interested in fitness and know how the gym works and operates from a customer side, which is pretty key as a manager.

It's all in how you frame the listing. Don't post something saying "Now hiring / looking for a manager." Say something along the lines of "Management positions now available. Please inquire with ____ if interested."
