Help me remember the name/artist of a painting

It is a famous painting (well famous enough that I learned about it in art class years ago). I want to say Picasso from his realism period but that's probably not right as a google search did not yield it.

It is a crowd of people in some kind 1920s European bar scene or some other event at night. People are dressed up. There is a woman who is the focal point of the crowd, she has a round chin and a hat and a dangerous smirk. She is definitely wearing some kind of hat.

It is a famous painting by someone famous. The scene emanates "nightlife", "danger", and early 20th century Paris or something.

Thanks.

There is so much going on in this picture, it must be a master. It clearly borrows from the Caravaggio painting "Cardsharps" in its raw realism even though it's from a later period.

Genius.

Are you sure that's picasso? The faces look symmetrical: you know, one eye on either side of the nose. Very unusual for him. :roma:

OH REALLY http://pablo-picasso.paintings.name/...in-galette.php Eat it, unculturedboy. "Like the young Picasso, Lautrec was an avid participant and painter of the Paris nightlife, inspiring Picasso to the painting "Le Moulin Galette", which in style is a homage to Lautrec, who had also painted the Parisian establishment called Le Moulin Galette."

You get 150% credit for guessing the style so well. It's as if some little asshole asked you to recognize a song such as MIA's "Paper Planes" and you said it was "Straight to Hell" by the Clash because you recognized the sample. Mad props.
