What about my new Herring Munster?

The announcement was quite recently, this is a completely new model from the new Handgrade line (by Carlos Santos).
One of the features that immediately interested me was the unusual new 460 last.

The shoe is a little longer and wider, which is warned about in the description, so instead of the usual 9UK size I chose 8.5UK - I guessed perfectly.
The chiseled toe looks gorgeous! These oxfords look really cool.

I really liked the brogue - the patterns are arranged with the letter "W", and the edge of the outer "wing" goes slightly over the top, not quite from the side, which visually narrows the shoes, they seem even more graceful.
The quality is expectedly high, there are no surprises here.

Another interesting feature is the hidden seam channels. Not only on the bottom of the sole, but also on the top, which is a rarity. Usually this is an element of an even more expensive shoes.

In fact, they are no longer than usual, as it might seem from photographs. Their length is the same as that of the Cheaney or Barker Oxfords. Yes, it is size 8.5, not 9, so the length is the same. And they are very comfortable.

I am delighted with this new pair! As always, a pleasant smell of high-quality leather and an almost mirror-like shine right out of the box.

The color is rosewood, not burgundy, as it might seem in my photographs. It is closer to light brown with a slight red tint.

I have considered the 460 but I find it too squarish for my taste, I am a huge fan of the 387/389/462 they are super slightly softer. It looks nice on that model though. Wear them in good health.

i like they chose the blue finish from the CS1942

what fascinates me is that you say the run larger. This is the only square last I’ve seen from santos that you need to size down half. Thanks for the feedback.

enjoy!

This is a new last, so it is a different from the other styles.

The last is actually not new, but it is rare to see in the wild. Ana Santos had shown me samples from years ago. Santos actually has tons of lasts you don't see anymore, I was surprised when I visited the factory.

Nonetheless, this one looks nice! The way they do the facing W reminds me of the CS143 model. I like the color too!

Wear them in good health! Post some follow ups in the future!
