Maybe, I'm biased because Herring's Knightbridge
was one of my first better shoes. Years later, I still think, the simply toe cap brings out the best of the 026 last!
The differences are subtle but, in my opinion, Allen Edmonds Park Avenue looks a bit boring compared to it, at least in E. We seldom see a D width here in Europe.
And if you wonder how it compares to other British brands… here's maybe the
quintessential British last, Church's 73, alongside Loake's 026:
Of course, the leather is not as nice as Church's, but the outline of the lasts are very close. Loake's longer toe cap, though, makes it a bit more sleek and modern.
If you're looking for traditional British Oxfords, there's no better option for this price, in my opinion.
