Whatever it is, it's gonna be funny. I admire the woman's tenacity. Revenge, 21st century style.

The whole thing seems a bit contrived. If you read the blog she updates it like every day, and everything is all good with her husband, but all of a sudden, in three days things start getting worse and then (I'll paraphrase):

2:46 "My brother Jason says I should see a PI because he thinks Jason is cheating on me. I have an appointment in 2 hours to see the PI."

6:19 PM "Fuck me, Jason is cheating on me with my best friend,"

Wow that must be one hell of a private investigator. She had her first appointment with him at 4:45 PM and by 6:19 shes back at home posting about how her husband is cheating on her?

Fun to read anyways.

This all looks and sounds fake to me to. The billboard looks like she used Photoshop to make it.

She implies, and later states, that her brother had hired the PI already. So, during that appointment there was apparently already some evidence to be seen.

There is something bizarre about the blog, but not at all unbelievable.

I agree. Bad actors on the opening video.

It's a viral marketing campaign - not sure who is responsible for it yet. The billboards have been spotted in a couple cities around the country.

Clever nonetheless. Still, for me nothing can top the running commentary (real or contrived) of the Seattle guy on ebay a couple of years ago selling (or purporting to sell) his ex-wife's wedding dress to make enough money for a six-pack and some Mariners' tickets.

But what is it marketing exactly? Ways to get back at an (soon to be) ex?

Time will tell.

It would be funny if it was real but it all seems a bit contrived.

It's fake I'm pretty sure, also you ganked that topic title from Metafilter (or another blog).
