New Trend, Popped Suit Collars? - Page 2

Popping polos is dumb enough.. I can't believe people are doing it with suits now.

When you go to the Etro store, all the suits are hanging on the racks with collars popped, but I'm sure they're just showing off the purty colors of the felt.

It also helps keeping a nice lapel roll. I do that with my jackets

I can't see how that would help the lapel roll unless your suits are really squished together in your closet.

Interesting. Where did you discover this technique?

In NYC. The unfortunate size of closets in the city result in lapels getting pressed flat. So when I saw jackets in stores hanging with the collar up, I realized it could be a good solution... It is (if one hads good hangers) - however, it is better for thicker fabrics (sportscoats) than thinner suits as the collar eventually can suffer from being up all the time and start wrinkling.
