briefcase style/ brand? - Page 2

I just bought a new Samsonite underarm portfolio. Unfortunately it only came in black; I would have preferred it in brown (it appears no one makes anything similar in brown for under $200). But it looks very nice and will serve its purpose well for interviews and other times I only need a few papers and some gadgets.

Nice. But not over the top! They have taken to calling me James Bond at work. I can deal.

Briefcase purchased from Ottino in Florence in 1983. It also comes
with a slim zippered case that fits in it. The cost, I recall,
at the time was just under $400. Expect for some damage
caused by a teething puppy, now age 14, which was
repaired by a local cobbler, it is in perfect condition.
Even the lock works. I retired a few years ago so it
gets much less heavy use. If want an elegant case that will last,
it'll cost you.But if you appreciate such things, you can use it for
decades.By the way, the last time I checked, earlier this year,
Ottino was still in Business.

Thanks for the link, those look nice and have decent prices. The Milano Brief is exactly what I want. Maybe for Xmas.

Anyone else notice that Prada has copied LV's Taiga leather? Bleh, I hope I don't start seeing knock-offs everywhere.

Swaine Adeney Paternoster in Havana, Swaine Adeney Classic Wrap in London Tan (incoming), Ghurka Counselor in Black. The SAB cases are probably heavier than typical comparably sized cases, but I think the weight differences are sometimes blown out of proportion.
