That Sciamat is the definition of contrived and would therefore seem to against all the best aspects of Italian tailoring (eg sprezz...).

that coat has the patch ticket pocket, the elbow patches, the crazy Sciamat shoulders. It might explode under the weight of it's own awesomeness.

I can honestly say that I would not have considered a number of suit configurations or colours if it had not been for something that someone posted on SF. I'm still mulling over whether to get a TOJ suede jacket like aj_del. Even though aj_del was just copying something that he saw somewhere else.

But I'm talking about one article of clothing - I'm not duplicating a wardrobe or a complete look and posting pics of myself wearing the same thing that someone else wore while waiting at the airport.

Some of the iThugs have posted pics of the photos of PG that people brought to Peter Lee with the request that he copy PGs outfits. I can see how that can make PG feel uncomfortable. There is a bit of a sense of personal identity in what one wears.

Maybe it is a matter of degree. A single item is fine, but copying the jacket, pants, shoes, bracelets, lighter and wearing them all together - that's crossing the line.

I don't think it's creepy at all.....it's not like they hang out looking like twins. If you really, really like something and you found out who could make it and all the other details - cloth etc. Then i can understand you would want/ get it made. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. PG whilst being cool and stylish and having good taste also takes copious high quality photos and now even has his own Blog with detailed pics - descriptions of cloth and sizes etc. It's almost like he's setting himself up as a style leader. I'm not saying he wants everyone to copy him or that would be cool. He seems to have a nice life - all the life style pics - bars -girls - friends - Porsche cars - Leica cameras etc. I find it rather amusing thenthat he had a HUGE girly hissy fit that someone dared to try emulate a little part of his style when he's almost the feature spread of the week in the what we wear thread. Surely you realize when you are an adult and have your own style that when someone copies you - they will never be you or even close.....your leading - they are following trying to keep up. I dunno - it's just clothes man and it shouldn't be a big deal. I'd love the M8 and the Porsche and some of his threads - i can't even begin to afford that stuff...

I don't think it's creep at all. Annoying? Sure, but not to the point you're wrapped up in a frenzie over all this. We are talking clothes, right?

I think what DTO in general is completely fine. What was probably done in bad taste was the way he showed it in WAYWN.

Heck, there are specific members I look at as having a style that I like and I try to pattern the style/combos as much as I can.

Tbh, DTO's cloning/steez biting reminds me of Japanese fanatics who go all out to imitate their favorite celeb athletes, etc. As for the iThugs' response, it's disapointingly high school girlish.

That's the understatement of the year.
