I'm upset that I missed the "Back for Blood" special. Unfortunately, the Spike website doesn't appear to have the whole episode online.

You didn't miss much, both fights were pretty one sided. Spartan vs. Apache and Spetznaz vs. IRA.

Did any of you catch the recent episode with Nazi Waffen SS pitted against the Viet Cong? Seriously, one of the most outlandish episodes thus far.

Very true. No AK-47's for the VC?? Very flawed, but I did like the Nazi flamethrower with tar attachment and silencer (Bling Pro)

A bunch of us were sitting around drinking and watching that show, I cheered when the Germans won... awkwardness ensued.

The show rated their submachine guns as even, but the kill scores showed the german submachine gun making many more kills than the VC one.

They've addressed this issue in the Aftermath programme (found on the show's website). According to Fatty McFatterson, "edges" are merely the hosts' opinions and don't necessarily reflect the stats/results of the weapons themselves.

Every time I see or hear about the match-ups, it always suckers me into watching them. And, then after watching the show with that match up, I end up groaning out loud about how terrible that show was.

This last week, with the Mongol vs. Comanche, was the worst one yet. I know we're not supposed to take this show seriously, but that show lost all credibility when it had the Comanche beating the Mongol despite the Mongol's advantage with steel weapons and armour. The Mongols were famous for their skill in archery, had armor to shield the arrows of the Comanches, and had greater range with their archery, yet they calculated that the Comanches bow and arrows would have scored more kills than the Mongols bow and arrows? Or, that despite the speed and devastation of the Mongol flace, they calculated that the Comanche war hawk would have produced more kills than the flace?

Just from a historical perspective, the Mongols were unstoppable- they defeated the Russians, Afghans, Chinese, Eastern Europeans, Persians, etc.. but they couldn't defeat a Comanche Indian?

And, then after swearing I'll stop watching the show, I see the preview this week for the Israeli Commando vs US Navy Seal, and they sucked me back in.

On Saturday I saw Vlad the Impaler kill Sun Tzu. What a joke of a show. I guess you're suppose to know it's garbage when they have matches like Jesse James vs. Al Capone.

It is slightly entertaining sometimes but I'm always too busy just wondering how horrible they are as judges. They love the judge weapons based on "more trauma" regardless of how much more effort it takes (big giant cuts for example). It's like they fail to realize you really don't need to chop a man in half to kill him, that after a certain point there is no point in dealing more damage and you are better off being quick and efficient. They also fail to calculate how easy it would be to dodge certain attacks.
