Is anyone familiar with these shirts?

http://penelopeschicago.blogspot.com...new-crate.html

They look really good, and have a great price point.

hand made in L.A. for $78? daaaaamn

yeah, I've tried these on at Penelope's. The fit is very similar to BoO, except the sizing is TTs. So I take a L in BoO but a M in Crate, which fits similar, ie very slim. Its got darts & box pleat. Generally seems well made, but I'd say the buttons seems a bit cheap/uninteresting. I bet they stay on though! very impressed for the price point.

Isn't this Crate as in Crate denim? Secret Service LA also has 'Manufacturers and Agents' in their name... I like the chambray. Too predictable? Probably.

Those shirts look very well cut and that price is great alternative to BoO.

I actually got the red gingham shirt from Secret Service last week and I love it. I don't know about the chambray but the gingham does fit a bit on the slimmer side IMO. I am a M in EG and Gitman and L in BOO, I had to get an L for the gingham. The p2p only measures about 20 inches. The best part is Chad hooked it up with a discount and free secret service t-shirt.

I picked up the chambray in small, I emailed them about measurements. a small seems to be pretty close to BoO xs. shoulders 16, pit 18. I can post fit pics when I recieve it if anyones interested.

We've got an order from Crate on the way. Should be here within the next week or so. The price point on this stuff is really great and i'm glad to hear some positive first impressions. I'll post here when it arrives in case anyone has any sizing questions or anything.

I was just about to email them and ask how these fit, when I realized that it was the Penelope's a block away from me! Guess I am gonna go try a couple on after work today...

Crate jeans and Crate is the same. I wondered who the hell they were shipping to.
Hand made...no fucking way. Its all done by machine just like 90% of all shirts are.
YOU WILL PAY BIG FOR A HAND MADE SHIRT.

who cares if it's handmade
Handmade doesn't mean much, its still made by a person with a sewing machine. Mauro I think you are thinking of handsewn. Which is made by someone hand sewing the actual garment. I highly doubt any brand does anything hand sewn except for suits.
nope. people hand sew lots of stuff still. Shirts , pants, suits, shorts.

No matter if hand- or machine- made/sewn ( for all I care they could even be foot-made ), the Blue Chambray Shirt looks pretty good...
