Yeah I got that far and Yes he looks like a giant fruit.

I only like the blue F40, he most have family money to have a collection like that at that age.

The Italia is still the best car I've ever driven. At least till I get my hands on a 991 GT3, which might be decent competition. I don't suppose anyone would lend me their MP4-12C

I know it's not the best car around but the Z8 is still one of my favorite daily driveable during the summer cabriolet. I'd take a F355 Spider over it though, it's cheaper (at least to buy) and sounds better.

P1 is going to be bonkers. The new Porsche 918 should be quite impressive as well.

These are both a step up in price from the Italia though...

I see so many mp4s in Dallas, it's ridiculous. Have also seen alpina b7s on four separate occasions.

Exhaust note on the Mclaren is interesting. Almost sounds a bit artificial.

That's a fantastic deal actually. I don't think it'll carry much in resale the way 335i's do (base 3ers have always tanked in a very sad way, 318i sedans were nearly cross-shoppable on the used market with Civics that cost half as much for the same model years) but if you were to have a new car and were looking for the blend of economy plus a decent driving experience, I'd much rather have this over a GTi or some other sport compact.

Got stuck behind a convertible M3 this morning. Guy drove like a blind grandmother. You guys are always talking about performance driving, but I'm not kidding, 99% of M class cars I see are getting driven at 10 mph under the limit.

Saw a new shiny new Lamborghini in Vegas last week and the plate read "Intnl Spy." Made me chuckle.

Thinking of finally buying a car and possibly very soon, but only a beater to keep in Tokyo at least just for the interim or whatever it may be. Marriage is still not in great condition and so I don't want to commit to a real purchase but I have the itch to drive and go to the beach and cruise on some trips this summer across Japan, so I am thinking a $5,000 JDM AP1 S2000 I found online; and if I get it and things still go to pot, then it's not a big deal. Keeping it dirt cheap takes all the pressure off, and it's still spotlessly clean because it's in Japan. The one I found has the OEM hardtop, 17" Mugen MF10's and a Mugen catback with dual Ti cans; the two Mugen upgrades alone probably worth $4,000 on the used market if i sold them tomorrow. It's a steal, IMO. Plus I could take it to any number of classic Honda shops for even regular maintenance, like Spoon or Type ONE (20 minutes away) or even tuning. Parts are looking to be dirt fucking cheap on yahoo auctions (Japanese ebay)... all signs point to yes...

So true.  Honda Prelude vtech made 190 hp back in the early to mid 90s (ex wife had a 1995).  Hell the 4 cyl Acura TSX has always made about 200 hp or so.

At what RPM? Quoting HP and torque without reference to an RPM curve doesn't really describe what the engine is like to drive. Honda's VTEC would kick you in the butt over a certain RPM and be anemic below. BMW's M52 felt great down low, but ran out of breath up top. Both produced roughly 190HP.

I think a lot of car "enthusiasts" these days substitute car horsepower for the length of their penis.

A turbo lets BMW balance drivability and economy in an environment of stricter emissions regulations.
