Your contention that a bunch of guys don't use precise language when they talk about cars is ridiculous -- misstate the type/size  of engine in a car and see how far that gets you. As for doucheyness, I recall pointing out the distinction, but not saying or implying anything negative about anyone who used the term. I don't think you can make the same claim.

At first I wanted an E34, but I couldn't find one that was flawless and with low mileage, so I will keep looking.

In the meantime, I will have to get new wheels as well and get replacement interior trim so I can paint them or wrap them in vinyl, because those wood trim make me feel like Im driving grandpa's car.

Nice find. Find some wheels from a M5 or a 540 sport and call it a day.

I thought I was the only person who didn't like wood in cars.  Cheers

I was indeed thinking M5 wheels or Alpina. I am keeping an eye on ebay and classified around where I live. Some shadowline door and bumper trim would be nice as well, I'll keep the window chrome. My neighbourhood is mostly Turkish and Bulgarian/Russian, there's like 8 E39 in my street!

I've taken a liking to VMR wheels. I cant speak for quality but they've got a growing base with bmw/audi fanbois.

VMR are supposed to be one of the higher quality replica wheels out there...I think their big seller is the replica CSL patterned after the m3 CSL

Those wheels are too damned big for the E30. 15s and maybe 16s are the biggest any E30 should use. Anything bigger just looks stupid. What works better for the E30 are really wide tires along with rolled fenders.

Agreed. I'm also of the opinion that old wheels and especially BBS RS, Schnitzer, Hartge, Ronal, Alpina... are the only good looking wheels on < 1990 BMWs.

I agree those are to big for that car just sharing a brand that makes a nice wheel, although I think 18 is the smallest they make

Either Ferrari has the most permissive traction control ever, or this guy is an idiot for driving a new, very powerful sports car off the lot with new tires and turning the TC off in the rain.

My friend just took delivery of a 2013 SL550 hardtop convertible. He let me take it for a spin and man does that thing fly. Has the new MB twin turbo V-8, the 4Matic...just stomp on the gas and you're running 0-60 in about 4 seconds flat Nice ride.

Just watching that guy merge was painful.

That's what happens when a fucking pussy buys a powerful car he doesn't deserve.
